Activity 4 – Plan for Child Friendly Locality
1. Submit a plan for how you will be raising awareness about child labour in your locality for:
● the underprivileged families with children who are at risk of school dropout and child labour.
○ How many underprivileged families do you plan to reach out to?
✓ 10 – 12 families
○ How will you reach out to them? In person, on the phone, over a whatsapp call?
✓ Physically if it is possible or I will try to get in touch through call or social media.
○ What videos/stories/posters/ideas from our blog or beyond will you be sharing with them?

○ What are the most important points to cover?
✓ The most important parts to cover is:-
1) Creating awareness among people because they are unfamiliar of the government related schemes.
2) Importance of education

● the privileged consumers who are bystanders to child labour because they either don’t notice it, don’t know how to help, or don’t understand how child labour debilitates a child’s life and future.
○ How many consumers will you reach out to?
✓ 7 – 8 consumers
○ How will you reach out to them? In person, on the phone, over a whatsapp call?
✓ In person and some over call or social media

✓ 1) Creating awareness among consumers
2) Should not take services from children
3) And changing their mindsets that by giving job to children is illegal because in this way it’s not helping them.

● The potential employers of child labour (dhabhas, kirana shops, mechanics, tea stalls, dhobis, small restaurants and shops etc).
○ How many potential employers will you reach out to?
✓ 6 – 7 employers
○ How will you reach out to them? In person, on the phone, over a whatsapp call?

✓ 1) Creating awareness and changing their mindsets
2) Not to employ children as workers.
3) If they need workers then hire the parents of working children because by giving job to children is illegal.

2. Submit a plan for how you will be fundraising for protecting children from child labour and trafficking. We have made you care – how will you make others care?
○ What is the fundraising goal for yourself (if 20 people you know, give 500 rupees each, that is 10,000! No amount is too small). As you speak and start raising awareness about the plight of children who are trafficked, people will want to do what they can to help and join in the cause.
✓ According to me, fundraising goal will be highly appreciating and volunteering basis, I will reach out to as many people as possible, and it will start with minimum value of 50rs. To 500rs.
○ What will you tell them about KSCF? What videos will you share about Kailash Satyarthi ji that touched you the most?
✓ Nobody is unaware of the work done by Kailash Satyarthi sir. I will share different Individual and various departmental role of this organization, such as ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’, ‘Bal Mitra Gram’, ‘Bal Mitra Mandal’, ‘Bal Yatra Mukti Campaign’. I will also share with them ‘The Price Free Movie’, Ted Talk of Kailash Satyarthi Sir.

○ What else is important for them to know about? Think about the webinars you attended, the speakers you heard from, andthe films and videos you watched through this programme.
✓ I will tell them about the need of funds for children and how do these funds help the affected children. What are some rehabilitation centres established by KSCF and other similar things.
