“Maa” She whispered into the night
Then she remembered with such a fright
That her mother wasnt within sight
For she had fallen victim to someone’s spite
Her life began in poverty
It grew malnourished into her puberty
Whereupon she was robbed of her liberty
To be sold off as someone’s property
This story never dies in the papers
Nor does it end with those horrors and rapers
Wouldn’t you agree every child deserves a life free of abusers?
To live a childhood with a smile and happy sighs, free of childhood labours
